The Worlds First HipHop Funk Rock Revolutionary Alliance
The Family Gang is a community of artist, musicians and poets that started when friends got together to put forth an artistic movement. Out of that came a musical marriage when emcees Phraydoe Peans and Head Chef joined forces with Palmer Reed and some of the musicians to form the Family Gang Band and perform with live music instead of their tracks. Phraydoe Peans is a local poet and activist, who helps young local artists with the fast growing Orlando culture and music scene. Phraydoe also started Soul Of Da City with DJ Dizzle Phunk, a local DJ who also performs with the band. Soul Of Da City has turned Club 57 West into a mecca for local artists, musicians and poets with their events, such as Body Language and Bring Da Noize. Recently Soul Of Da City has begun promoting outside of 57 West. Head Chef is a budding young emcee, with big dreams and big talent. Palmer Reed is a little man with a big voice, and he adds melody with his singing, also bringing his talent to play the guitar with the band. The band is a collection of musicians from multiple musical backgrounds, blending hip hop, soul, funk and rock. With the help of VJ Grand Master Shaman Treez, who brings it all together with a stunning visual mix of lights and video, Peans and Chef have been winning over new crowds every time they hit the stage. Outside of the music, Head Chef and Phraydoe Peans are big players in the push to legalize marijuana. Head Chef started the Troof movement, and along with Phraydoe, the 420 Ambassador, they both help spread the facts and statistics on marijuana, helping people understand the truth that is trying to be stopped in the push for legal marijuana.
